  1. Hi I had mesotherapy done under the eyes almost 3 weeks ago. It was my third session. I have had a lot of irritation and puffiness of the area since then even after 3 weeks although the skin does not appear red. Do you think I could be having a reaction to it? Thanks

Mesotherapy Under the eyes is different from other parts of the face due to delicate anatomic structure as well as high vascularity of the region.
I think these swelling and inflammation would resolve on its own and could be prevented with proper application technique and low dose of Corticosteroids. Having said that, combination approach will give the most improvement.
Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes.
We use Nanofat and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert for further evaluation.

    Hi,
I got under eye mesotherapy and I have a small dark purplish dot under each eye. It’s only been 3 days but they’re so dark makeup isn’t even covering them, should I be worried? When can I expect them to fade because they haven’t yet

Eyelid skin is very thin and susceptible to bruising after any procedure.
Having said that, these small dots may be collection of blood under the skin called Hematoma that would fully resolved within a week or so.
However,I would recommend you see your injector for an examination to try and diagnose the cause of the dark dots. It may require something as simple as warm compresses to bring additional blood flow to help clear the discoloration or prescription of Anaheal capsul and Arnica cream to help recovery and reduce healing time.

Will mesotherapy help reduce small herniated fat pads under the eyes? My Dr wants to do a lower bleph, but I don’t want to go to that extreme as the fat is such a small amount and I am already hollow.

Since you have under eye hollowness and the hernited fat is small, I would suggest filling the hollow rather than mesotherapy to manage such double convexity.
Having said that, the depression between cheek and the eyebag would augment with dermal fillers (instead of lipolysis of the peaks) or even your own fat (facial fat transfer).
Once the contour has been grossly smoothed, skin tightening procedures such as laser or microneedling can perform for long lasting results.

    1. Thank you Sara for your question
Bluish discoloration of eyelids after mesotherapy indicates bruising or sometimes Tyndall effect.
Moreover, Tyndall effect is a prolong blue discoloration in the
skin after injection of hyaluronic acid too superficially. This causes light particles to be scattered by the material and because blue light scatters more easily than other beams it gives the blue appearance.
In my opinion, since the blue circle spread evenly and you had the treatment 1 week ago, it’s most likely a bruising rather than Tyndall effect.
Bruising should resolve over a few days with warm compress and application of Arnica cream.
      Best of luck

  5. Hi, I have dark circles and I’ve got my first Mesotherapy session done by a doctor who said I will be also needing PRP injections. Which one of these treatment is the most effective, Mesotherapy or PRP? Thank you.

    1. Thank you for your question
PRP is plasma in which the concentration of platelets is higher than that of other components of the blood. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself such as acne scars, fine lines , hyperpigmentation.
Having said that, I find that PRP are best for treating specific targeted areas. Like, under the eyes, acne scars and fine lines. I like to use PRP injections as a natural alternative to filler. The only downfall is that it takes about a month and repeated treatments to see desired results. These results can then last 12-18 months.
However, treating dark circles somtimes need combination approach with Mesotherapy for best results.
      Best wishes
